La Fonte, a 15th century stone house lovingly restored with three bedrooms and two bathrooms on two levels with a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living spaces. The 1,820 sq. foot (210 sq. meters) home is peacefully situated overlooking the heart of the walking-only community. There are three outdoor seating areas, one by the front door that faces west, an outdoor sitting area with picnic table for al fresco dining on the north side of the house and a large garden out the kitchen door facing toward the morning light. The home has old-style terra-cotta tiles, stucco walls, two fire places, chestnut wood beams making for a very comfortable get away in the Tuscan countryside. The community shares a large outdoor pool just a minute walk from La Fonte, as well as a tennis court two minutes away. Cars are required to park on the edge of the community though to load and unload luggage you’re welcome to drive closer. There are quiet walks on gravel roads through olive orchards or through forests. If you need a coffee and company, it is ten minutes by car to Ambra which boasts of one of the area’s best restaurants. Yes, we have internet, but no air conditioning.
